Hibiscus syr. Magenta Chiffon® PW PP29683 Tree Form
DETAILS AND CARE
This stunning tree form is a deciduous, upright shrub with a tree-like habit, perfect for adding structure and vibrant color to any garden or landscape. Hardy in USDA zones 5-9, it thrives in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 90°F. This cultivar produces large, semi-double magenta flowers with ruffled petals that bloom prolifically from mid-summer to early fall. While it doesn’t produce significant fall color, its show-stopping flowers more than make up for it. The plant prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil and tolerates a range of pH levels. Reaching a mature height of 8-12 feet with a spread of 4-6 feet, this tree form variety has an elegant, narrow vase-like shape. It offers moderate deer resistance and is a striking centerpiece in borders, as a specimen plant, or in foundation plantings.
