Helleborus x ericsmithii 'HGC Joker' PP22022

Hellebore 'HGC Joker' is a robust and showy hybrid hellebore prized for its abundant, large, outward-facing blooms that appear in late winter to early spring, brightening the garden when little else is in flower. Its unique flowers, which age from creamy white to soft pink with attractive dark pink veining and a central green eye, are held above handsome, dark evergreen foliage on strong stems. This vigorous, clump-forming perennial is perfect for shaded borders, woodland gardens, or containers, offering exceptional deer resistance and low maintenance once established. It thrives in well-drained soil and part to full shade, providing multi-season interest with its persistent leaves.

Plant in part shade to full shade in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost or organic matter. Water regularly to establish, then becomes fairly drought tolerant. Remove old, damaged leaves in late winter before flowering to showcase the blooms. Apply a light mulch to conserve moisture. Generally pest and disease free with good drainage.
