VINE Jasminum nudiflorum, Staked (yellow)
DETAILS AND CARE
This deciduous, fast-growing vine is known for its bright, cheerful yellow flowers that bloom in late winter to early spring before the foliage emerges, offering a burst of color during the colder months. It has an arching, sprawling habit and can be trained as a climber or allowed to cascade over walls or banks. Hardy in zones 6–10, it thrives in temperatures ranging between -10°F to 80°F and prefers well-drained soil with moderate moisture. While it offers no significant fall color, its green stems provide winter interest. Fruit is rarely produced and is insignificant. It is low-maintenance and has moderate deer resistance. Ideal for adding vibrant charm to sunny or partially shaded areas, this vine typically grows to a height of 7–15 feet, spreading similarly if left unguided.
