Lagerstroemia 'Tuscarora' (pink)

A deciduous, multi-stemmed tree or large shrub with a vase-shaped habit, this plant thrives in zones 7-9 and prefers full sun for optimal growth. It showcases vibrant coral-pink blooms in mid-to-late summer, adding a stunning splash of color that attracts pollinators. The foliage turns a striking reddish-orange in the fall, enhancing seasonal appeal. This variety has smooth, peeling bark for additional winter interest and can reach a mature height of 15-20 feet. It is highly deer-resistant and tolerant of urban conditions, including pollution and drought once established. It performs best in well-drained, slightly acidic soils and makes an excellent specimen plant or an ornamental addition to borders and landscapes. This selection does not produce significant ornamental fruit.
