Picea p. 'Bakeri', Christmas Tree
DETAILS AND CARE
This evergreen conifer is a compact, densely branched tree with a pyramidal habit, perfect for adding structure to landscapes. Hardy to zones 2 to 7, it thrives in full sun and tolerates cold temperatures, making it ideal for colder climates. The silvery-blue needles provide year-round interest and are highly resistant to deer browsing. Preferring well-drained, moderately acidic soils, it grows to a mature height of 10 to 12 feet with a spread of 6 to 8 feet, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens or as a specimen tree. Its conical form remains tidy, and while it does not feature significant fall color or flowers, its vivid foliage offers striking contrast throughout the seasons.
