Sedum rup. 'Blue Spruce'
DETAILS AND CARE
This visually striking succulent is a low-growing, mat-forming plant with needle-like foliage that resembles the blue-green hue of spruce trees, creating a unique, coniferous appearance. It is hardy in Zones 3-9, thriving in well-drained soils and full sun, and can tolerate temperatures down to -40°F. It produces clusters of small, bright yellow flowers in summer, adding a cheerful contrast to its cool-toned leaves. In cooler months, the foliage may develop pinkish tones, giving it mild fall interest. Deer-resistant and drought-tolerant, it is ideal for rock gardens, borders, and ground cover, reaching a height of 4-6 inches and spreading up to 12-18 inches. Its sturdy habit and ability to thrive in poor soils make it a low-maintenance and beautiful addition to any garden.
