Thymus s. 'Minus'
DETAILS AND CARE
This charming, low-growing herb boasts a compact, mat-forming habit, making it an excellent choice for ground cover or between stepping stones. Hardy in zones 4-9, it thrives in full sun and well-drained, sandy, or loamy soil, withstanding temperatures as low as -30°F. It exhibits tiny, aromatic foliage that remains evergreen in milder climates, with a soft gray-green hue. In late spring to early summer, it bursts into bloom with small, pale purple to lavender flowers, attracting bees and pollinators. This deer-resistant plant is drought-tolerant once established and makes a delightful addition to rock gardens or container plantings. Mature height is just 1-2 inches, spreading up to 12 inches wide.
