Viburnum cinnamomifolium
DETAILS AND CARE
This evergreen shrub features an upright, multi-stemmed habit with glossy, lance-shaped leaves that maintain their vibrant green color year-round. Hardy in USDA zones 7 to 9, it thrives in moderate climates with recommended temperatures ranging from 50°F to 80°F. In spring, it produces clusters of small white flowers, which are followed by attractive metallic-blue berries that add interest well into fall. The shrub does not exhibit significant fall color but remains a standout for its lush foliage and fruit display. It prefers well-draining, moderately fertile soil and grows to a mature height of 8 to 15 feet with a width of 6 to 10 feet, forming a rounded or oval shape. Moderately deer-resistant, it is an excellent choice for hedges, screens, or foundation plantings.
