Viburnum den. Blue Muffin® PW
DETAILS AND CARE
This compact deciduous shrub features a dense, rounded habit with dark green foliage that turns a stunning shade of burgundy-red in the fall. Hardy in zones 3-8 and thriving in temperatures between -40°F to 86°F, it is an excellent choice for cold climates. In late spring to early summer, it produces clusters of creamy white flowers, which give way to bright blue, oval-shaped berries in late summer. The berries not only provide visual interest but also attract birds. It grows to a mature height of 5-7 ft. and a spread of 3-4 ft., making it ideal for hedges, foundation plantings, or mixed borders. This shrub is deer-resistant and adapts well to a range of soil types, provided they are well-drained. Its rounded shape and versatile size make it a low-maintenance and visually appealing addition to any landscape.
