DETAILS AND CARE

This deciduous shrub boasts a graceful, horizontal branching habit that creates a layered, tiered appearance, making it a standout in any landscape. Hardy in USDA zones 5-8, it thrives in moderate temperatures and prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil. In spring, it produces clusters of creamy white, lacecap-like flowers that add elegance to the garden. Come autumn, its dark green foliage transitions to shades of reddish-purple, offering striking fall color. It may produce small red to black fruits in late summer to early fall, attracting birds. Growing to a height of 8-10 feet with a similar spread, it forms a broad, rounded shape. This shrub is moderately deer-resistant and makes an excellent choice for borders, hedges, or as a specimen plant.
